Sight and Hearing Screening Van

The Lions of District 24-A own and operate two mobile sight and hearing vans. Each van is equipped and supplied so that the Lions Clubs can conduct free sight, glaucoma, hearing, and blood pressure screenings. The vans are used at community affairs, schools and nursing homes. If any test shows a problem, the person is referred to a specialist for further evaluation. There is no charge for the use of the van, either to the club or the residents of the community who use its services. The mobile vans are owned and operated by the Sight and Hearing Mobile Screening Unit, Lions of Virginia, District 24-A, Inc., which is a non-stock, non-profit corporation.

The Chairman of the Sight and Hearing Van at the Park West Lions Club is Lion Orville Dee. If you would like to schedule the van for your local area activity at no charge, please contact Lion Bob Kirk at [email protected]. Be sure you mention Sight and Hearing Van in the Subject Line. The message will then be forwarded to the chairman. The vans are in great demand, so you need to make your needs known so that the van can be scheduled early.
