For more than one hundred years the Lions have been recognized throughout the world for their service to the blind and visually impaired. A majority of the world’s eye banks are established and supported by Lions, as are hundreds of clinics, hospitals and eye research centers. One such center, the Virginia Lions Eye Institute, is located at the Fairfax INOVA Hospital. Over the forty-five years of existence of our Lions club, countless members of our local community have been helped with free quality eye care, eyeglasses, eye surgery, guide dogs, hearing examinations and hearing aids, that they would not otherwise be able to obtain.
