In support of Lions International President Wing-Kun Tam’s Tree Planting Campaign, Park West Lions Club pledged to plant 25 trees.  On November 19, 2011, twelve members of the Park West Lions Club, accompanied by several members of Boy Scout Troop 1182 and Venture Crew 617 (both sponsored by the Park West Lions Club) exceeded this goal and planted 50 trees at the National Capital Area Council Boy Scout Camp William B. Snyder located in Haymarket, Virginia.
